What we store

Data kept to make decks reusable

Sprout Cards stores saved flashcards, generated images, audio files, and deck metadata so the same age-and-theme deck can be reused later without generating it again.

Cloud storage

Cloudflare + Gemini

Saved deck metadata and preview sessions are stored in Cloudflare KV. Images and audio are stored in Cloudflare R2. AI generation is handled through Gemini APIs.

On your device

Offline deck cache

The app stores saved decks in your browser using IndexedDB so you can reopen them offline on the same device.

Rate limiting

Basic abuse prevention

The service applies an IP-based daily generation limit to control abuse and protect free-tier costs. Reading saved decks does not use that generation quota.

Children's content

No accounts, no child profiles

Sprout Cards does not require sign-in and does not maintain personal child profiles. Inputs are limited to age range and preset themes for flashcard generation.
